
Maria Amélia Braga
Maria Amélia Braga has extensive regulatory experience focused on the oil and natural gas market. Her work includes industry-specific agreements such as JOAs, Lifting Agreements and Offshore Drilling Contracts, as well as service agreements generally. For nine years, she served as Legal Counsel at Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A., participating in matters involving the management of production sharing agreements, the sale of oil and natural gas owned by the Federal Government, production unitization and unitization agreements.
She has significant experience liaising with government authorities, including the MME, ANP and TCU. She also has expertise in administrative law, particularly public procurement procedures, including those governed by Laws No. 13.303/2016, No. 14.133/2021 and No. 8.666/1993. She holds a law degree from UERJ, postgraduate qualifications in Tax Law from IBET and in Litigation from FGV, and has completed several international courses related to the oil and natural gas industry.
